After Failing To Play Kennedy Agyapong’s Tape, Are Busy Playing Yaw Gyan’s Tape
Some staff members of Multi-Media outlets, like Joy FM, Adom FM and Asempa FM, have confessed to The Informer that, they are unhappy about the way and manner the mother company is exposing itself to hostilities against the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
They said, reasons given for not playing the tape of the loud-mouthed Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin North, Mr. Kennedy Akompreko Ohene Agyapong, have been put aside in the way and manner they are gleefully playing the tape of Yaw Boateng-Gyan.
According to the displeased employees, the decision by the management of the Multi-Media group to allow the NDC’s National Organizer’s tape to be played on its outlets, smacks of hypocrisy, as well as a tacit indication, that the Multi-Media is in bed with the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). “We are not only disappointed in our management but also in some of the various Show Hosts who fail to stand their grounds, like they did in the case of Kennedy Agyapong, but today have to succumb to the dictates of the few NPP hawks in our fold, to do what they did”, they bruntly stated.
“Multi-Media should be ashamed of itself for not keeping to its principles”, they conclude.
The Informer is reliably aware of how a top personality in the Multi-Media had once forced his way to meet the late President John Evans Atta Mills. The official’s agenda and mission at the said meeting was simple; the president should dole-out the taxpayer’s money to the station to enable it project his Better Ghana Agenda; a demand the late President turned-down, since it was nauseating and a very dirty deal for him to accept.
As a result, the said official vows to use all Multi- Media outlets to give bad publicity to the former president’s government, and so, The Informer is not surprised at all that even after his demise of President Mills the Multi-Media still pursue the said agenda.
It would be recalled that Joy FM and other Multi-Media outlets had refused to play Kennedy Agyapong’s tape in which he calls on his party supporters to take up arms against Ewes and Gas, because, the NPP wants power “at all cost”, citing some security implications and for national cohesion. But the outlets today deem it important to play that of Yaw Gyan.
Readers, judge for yourselves whether Joy FM and its sister stations, as well as, hosts of its various shows should be taken seriously.
