The spokesperson for former President Rawlings, Kofi Adams, has revealed that he will not vote for the wife of his boss, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, in the impending general election.

Instead, the suspended NDC Deputy General Secretary said he was committed to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and would defy the stance of his boss to vote for President John Mahama.

He said this on an Accra based radio station on Monday.

Nana Konadu, a founding member of the NDC, was on Saturday unanimously endorsed by delegates of the National Democratic Party (NDP) at its maiden congress at Kumasi as the party's presidential candidate.

He stressed: “President Mahama is my candidate, I will vote for President Mahama, and I have not left the NDC. The NDC has a flag bearer and that is where my vote will go”.

He dismissed reports that he had resigned from the NDC, “I have continued to defend the NDC and will do so to the heavens and that I remain to the NDC... My heart is still with the NDC. If my heart is not with the NDC I will not have been contesting the NDC for what they did against me in court. I would just have left,” he said.

He added: “I don't also think that President Rawlings has said he's left the NDC and he never wished the NDC’s defeat or the NDC goes into opposition.”
