The Asomdwe Memorial Park will be re-opened to the public on Friday, 2nd November, 2012 following the completion of the first phase of construction works.

The Park, near the Independence Square in Accra, is a presidential mausoleum which currently holds the mortal remains of President John Evans Atta Mills. It was opened to the public after his funeral.

The park was originally planned to be re-opened to the public at the end of September 2012. However, construction works took longer than anticipated
