Military Wants Armoury Relocated

THE PRIVATE armoury near the Motorway Roundabout, which has been guarded by the military for well over one month now, will have to be relocated.

This was as a result of inspection carried out by the security gurus.

Report filtering in from security sources say that the private armoury was opened for inspection on last Monday, when the story of the military presence at the poultry farm was broken by chronicle.

According to the report, upon the opening of the armoury by the police and the owners, who carried keys to the magazine under strict supervision of military and state security agencies, the place was found to contain nothing other than the regulated arms for sale to the civil populace.

The arms store which belonged to one Kwame Addo of Game Marketing is however to be relocated, according to the military, since its location happens to be in the centre of residential area, which is seeing fast developments that go beyond the installations.

Till the relocation takes place, the 24-hour guard remained unshaken.

The Chronicle last week reported the presence of soldiers at the poultry farm, Mackba Farm, between the Motorway Roundabout and Ashaiman Roundabout that is causing curiosity among commuters.
