Ghana fails to win any 2012 CAF award

Soccer pundits had predicted the Under-17 female national team, Black Maidens, that won medal at FIFA Juvenile World Cup in Azaberjan to win the best national female team in Africa but it eluded them with Equatorial Guinea snatching the prestigious award.

No Ghanaian player made it to the best eleven players of Africa which really gave soccer fans cause to complain that Ghanaian football was on the decline.

Meanwhile, Manchester City and Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure was for the second consecutive time named the African Footballer of the Year.

Platinum Award: John Mahama (President of Ghana)
