President John Agyekum Kufuor left the Langkawi Island in Malaysia on Sunday for a three-day state visit to India.

The visit, which aims to further strengthen the relations between Ghana and India, would also afford the governments of both countries to review some agreements and sign a new Memorandum of Understanding for their mutual benefit. President Kufuor, who left Accra on July 26, has already completed a three-day state visit to Malaysia.

He arrived in Langkawi on Thursday, August 1, to participate in the three-day Sixth Smart Partnership International Dialogue, which ended on Saturday, August 3. It was attended by 19 Heads of States and governments with about 450 participants from the private sector, civil society, youth groups and institutions.
