The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has dismissed claims that there is still insufficient Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the country.

This follows recent public outcry over the nationwide shortage of the product which was characterised by long queues at most gas filling stations.

The NPA announced some weeks back that it had enough stock to meet the increase in demand for the product.

In an interview with Citi News the Public Relations Officer of the NPA, Yaro Kasambata, explained that a lot of people are depleting the stock thus the need to restock up for fear of the little that is in existence to be exhausted.

“We have LPG in the country, if you go to the refinery today we are supplying LPG to vehicles that are parked there and have placed orders,” he said.

He said “if a specific retail station doesn’t have LPG it cannot be extended widely to cover all the others".
