Asante Kotoko have toppled Berekum Chelsea at the summit of the Ghana Premier League after thumping Berekum Arsenal 0-3 on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors have put their title defence in a pole position with their 46-point accumulation and are joint-top with Medeama SC who also tasted a 0-3 victory against relegated Real Tamale United.

Michael Akuffu opened the scoreline for the defending champions at the Golden City Park with Abdul Aziz doubling it with three minutes to end the half time.

The Porcupine Warriors kept their foot on the pedal in most parts of the game, and worsened the plight of the Gunners when striker Kofi Nti Boakye came on to seal their victory with a third goal after the interval.

Berekum Arsenal are still wallowing at the drop at the 15th position with 24 points from 26 games this season.
