The Ghanaian battalion serving under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) since 1978 has been commended by the citizens of Lebanon in South Lebanon where they run a daily patrol and monitoring of the “blue line” border a-long side the Lebanon armed forces.

A video anchored by Suzanne Jaber, and produced by Ramin Francis Assadi of the UNIFIL public information office revealed the confidence of the Lebanese people in the Ghanaian battalion; their friendship with the locals and cooperation with the Lebanon Armed forces. She also gets close to see how doctors in the Ghanaian Battalion are taking care of children and the sick.

The Ghanaian Captain, Mubarik Ramadan, who spoke with the journalist, re-affirmed the doggedness of the Ghanaian battalion in ensuring that lives of the people of Lebanon are protected: “the aim of the patrol is to ensure that the pole line is free from violation. We often patrol with Lebanese armed forces while the patrol is aimed at boosting the confidence of the locals in us, and our trust in them as well,” he said.
