The Chiefs and people of Pankrono in Kumasi have threatened to boycott the 2004 elections if the poor condition of roads in the area is not repaired.

At a public forum, they appealed to their MP, Osei Kyei Mensah – Bonsu to impress upon the authorities to reconstruct the Tafo-Pankrono road into a dual road to ease the heavy traffic, adding that, “we would either not vote at all or not vote for the NPP in the 2004 elections.”
