  I think that DVLA should stop adding the year of registration to vehicle number plate.
  Many Ghanaian car buyers are made to believe or have perception that the year of registration shows how new that car is but truly age or quality of a car has nothing to do with when it was registered.

  What I know from my experience in Germany is the year of make and the and Kilometerstand that determine the price of a vehicle, and not when the last owner registered the vehicle.

  So what is the big deal about getting a 2014 license plate? I cannot understand muy fellow Ghanaians at times. Same is driving around with the red tags which signifies that the person or the car belongs to someone who just arrived from overseas... SO FREAKING WHAT? What is the big deal? We focus all of our energies on stupid unproductive stuff. Who gives a shit about the year a car was registered? If Ghanaians want to pay for that nonsense then the Government must turn this into a money making avenue. How about changing all licence plates every year and have those who want to stay current pay a premium for that? Amazing.....
