What productivity is done to warrant an increase? As soon as public sector wage increases, market women will increase prices of goods. Govt should rather freeze wages, fix the fallen cedi, else inflation is likely to shoot up. Money will become too worthless. We know public sector only employs 3% of population, yet spend 70% of our income on this 3%. So why should govt be concerned so much abt? Or is he part of the many ghost names on the national payroll?

I THOUGHT I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS SPENDING 70% OF REVENUE ON SALARIES AND THE ECONOMISTS THINK IT IS NOT SUSTAINABLE. NOW PUBLIC SECTOR WORKERS MIGHT SEE SALARY OR LIKELY MIGHT SEE INCREASES. ARE WE SERIOUS IN OUR PRONOUNCEMENTS? I WAS ALL ALONG THINKING THE GOVERNMENT MIGHT INSTEAD CUT BACK ON SALARIES. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE THAT THERE WILL BE SALARY INCREASES.

See another Buffoon! Your government announced a salary freeze this year after committing a terrible and expensive blunder with its amateurish implementation of the Single Spine pay policy. Instead of keeping mute or telling the workers the reality, because they have failed to increase productivity, you go promising them more increases. Even though you admit the government owes workers four months salary arrears! Does this buffoon deserve to be in office?? He is simply clueless! Not his fault!

IT'S ABOUT TIME YOU GUYS REALIZED THAT ORDINARY GHANAIAN VOTERS IN GHANA ARE TREATED LIKE DUMB ARSES SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY'VE ALLOWED THEMSELVES TO BE TREATED LIKE DUMB ARSES, PERIOD.
AS WE DISCUSS THIS TERRIBLE ISSUE, THERE ARE MANY EXAMPLES OF PUBLIC DISCONTENTMENT AND BLOODY DEMONSTRATIONS GOING ON AGAINST SUCH LEADERSHIP INDISCRETION, PROFLIGACY AND CORRUPTION IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD.
SUCH AD-HOC DECISIONS TO CONTINUALLY AND FRAUDULENTLY INCREASE TARIFFS, TAXES, IMPORT DUTIES AND PETROLEUM PRICES IN GHANA WILL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY IN OTHER COUNTRIES.
GHANA'S "LEADERS" DO THAT MAINLY TO COVER UP THEIR ENDEMIC INCOMPETENCE, LAZINESS AND DOWNRIGHT CORRUPTION IN GHANA AND GHANAIAN MISSIONS ABROAD.
IF GHANA'S "LEADERSHIP" REALLY WANT TO STOP THE DRAIN ON STATE COFFERS, THEY SHOULD DO AS FOLLOWS:
1. FREEZE THE CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED 4-YEARLY END OF "SERVICE BENEFITS" PAYOUTS TO GHANA'S ENTIRE "BUSY-ABOUT-NOTHING" LEADERSHIP INCLUDING POLITICIANS, REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER OF TERMS AS POLITICIANS.

EVEN RICH AMERICA AND THE EU DO NOT SHOWER SUCH FREEBIES ON THEIR LEADERSHIP, PAST AND PRESENT.
