The brain drain has NOT reverse because African economies are getting better, it is because western countries are gradually becoming saturated and the only option left for the educated African is to go back home. (S)he will take the Western option over the African one if the latter was available.
We can disagree on many front but the spirit of the article is very true and very much needed.

These kids are not used to corruption, and they will be shocked to see a custom officer ask for something small at the airport; then see a police officer collect money from a driver to get off a fine. Save them the drama.

AINT NONE GOING TO JA TO LOOK FOR GREEN. THE ONLY GREEN IN JA IS NTAMPE. EVEN THE PPL IN JA WANT TO GET OUT.
Many of the country's trained doctors and nurses leave to work in countries such as Britain, the United States, Jamaica and Canada. This migration for greener pastures is referred to by many as the brain drain.
Countries in Sub-Saharan Africa have lost a tremendous amount of their educated and skilled populations as a result of emigration to more developed countries, which has harmed the ability of such nations to get out of poverty.

History is a subject much misunderstood which continue to fail Africans in the Diaspora. Those who understand history do come around to understand the love of or for country; its everywhere around Ghanaians in the Diaspora but they will never get it.
Europeans who went to the US and other places around the world and or moved from EU nation to the other EU nations eventually return to their birth nations to contribute. The same applies to people from the USA well travelled who return to help improve the life expectancy and living standards of Americans. The history of America tells of forefathers who paid dearly with their life, blood sweat and tears to make the USA what it is today. Along the way, they engaged in immoral acts while preaching about the Judeo-Christian foundation of the nation even when they abused, brutalized people of African ancestry. What we have in Ghana is a nation of people who can retain greed above everything else they learn. They have vowed never to suffer as they did growing up. Hence as their fortunes changed for the better with in the Diaspora they forget where they came from except for their immediate families. They tend not to understand the history of those very nations where they now flourish and prosper.
In America, Canada and all across Europe businesses fail but people get up and try again. Ghanaians in the Diaspora seem to think unless and until they can be guaranteed of success upon their return to Ghana there are no incentives to return to contribute. That is the difference between Africans who have come to know money and the Europeans and or American who understand love for or of country.
