Mahama is making moves to get prezs and public officials to pay tax, something that rawlings, kuffuour and mills could not do. They kept quiet and enjoyed tax-free salaries but imposed it on others... clearing JM is scoring some bonus point though he has the bigger problem waiting to be fixed i.e. the economy.

A knucklehead called Rockson Addo called that caricature called Akuffo Addo a savior, and below is my take on that:
What did he do for for his constituents in 12 years as their MP and 8 years as Attorney General and Foreign Minister?
READ ON .......
1. Akuffo Addo was a leading member of NPP and practically the presidential candidate when tons of cocaine got missing from the police headquarters. Did Akuffo Addo make any comments or took any pragmatic steps to retrieve the substance or to prosecute the perpetrators? Did you ever hear your savior making any comments on such a glaring negligence, if not an act of criminal conspiracy?
2. Benjilo was a hardened drug dealer in the 1990s. That criminal was jailed and his drug-funded property in Accra confiscated. During the 8 years of NPP rule, part of which Nana Addo served as Attorney-General, Benjilo's property was deconfiscated. Did Akuffo Addo know that drug-dealing was a crime when he championed the deconfiscation of Benjilo's property?
3. Why did Akufo-Addo, as Attorney General, oversee the de-confiscation of frozen assets of Raymond Amankwah, a world reputed and renowned Cocaine Baron? And why was Raymond Amankwah roaming the world with Ghana's diplomatic passport in his backpocket?
4. Did he not know that by literally presiding over that act, a terrible example was set being set and cocaine barons all over the globe were being sent signals that the new NPP government of Ghana had no problem with the trafficking of narcotic drugs? No wonder Ghana was christened the Cocaine Coast under the Kuffuor/Akuffo Addo government.
5. Did the fact that Raymond Amankwah wis a relative of Akufo-Addo in anyway influence that decision?
7. Was Raymond Amankwah until his arrest in Brazil, not associated with Akufo-Addo's 2008 campaign?
8. Was Akufo-Addo not the Attorney General in the year 2001, when the state prosecution of Frank Benneh was suddenly discontinued?
9. Why did he so mysteriously stop a case that NDC's Deputy Attorney General, Martin Amidu prosecuted so relentlessly until NPP took over the reins of office?
10. Does Akufo-Addo know that the discontinuation of that famous case was another strong signal of his own lack of political commitment to fight the drug menace and the indication of the weakness of NPP's resolve to deal with the canker?
11. What about the three NPP Dzorwulu branch executives who were busted with narcotics at Kotoka in February 2002 when Akufo-Addo was AG?
12. Is it not interesting that under his tenure as AG, all those three women who were arrested were/are NPP drug queens just vanished into thin air? Their dockets also just disappeared like magic?
13. What did Nana Addo do about that case to send a strong and clear message to Ghana and the world that his government was dead set to punish anyone, regardless of proximity to the ruling class, who dares engage in the dangerous narcotic trafficking?
14. Was Akufo-Addo not the parliamentarian who was pushing hard for a law (described by Ghanaians as Amoateng Bill) to be passed that will essentially allow Ghanaian drug offenders, languishing in Thai jails among others to be sent back to Ghana to complete their term?
15. Does Nana Akufo-Addo still believe in the Amoateng Bill? Does he think that it will be useful to bring back to Ghana, top NPP drug financiers like Eric Amoateng and Raymond Amankwah?
16. Why does Nana Addo think that the accusation of drug addiction has never been leveled against any other leader or potential leader of his party, (Busia, Victor Owusu, Adu Boahen, J.A. Kufuor, Alan Kyeremateng) but only him? Is it just a coinage?
17. All these actions and inactions on his part, as well as the cynical role he played in the sale of the country's drillship, with its proceeds not being accounted for, discerning Ghanaians, unlike you praise singers, think that he is not qualified to be leading a nation that wants to rid itself of organized crime, violent crime and crime of all shades and corruption.

If you think borrowing money to build stadia, schools and markets is enough to win elections, then do zip your mouth for your thoughts are so shallow and lack critical analysis.
Have you thought of first overhauling the current school curriculum with a view to improving the quality of education in the country instead of building schools to produce half-educated students?
Will stadium and markets translate into jobs, health and quality of life?
What would be some of the repercussions of borrowing on the economy? Please consider being fair while thinking outside the box and leave Nana Addo alone. It is not good to hate people for no reason.

The NPP thieves are not getting to steal in this regime that is all the noise we are hearing about. What corruption is larger than the one we saw in NPP? You think we have forgotten already? Look, it is only because you NPP are scrutinizing every bit of anything this government does that is why you think there is too much corruption. If you NPP had the same measurement of scrutiny, it would have been disaster to the eyes. The truth is that you NPP can talk and magnify things to look bigger than they actually look. NPP was so dirty it was unmeasurable. Ghanians are not suffering,
it is your NPP mouth is creating that scenario. Didn't Kuffour suffer the same problem at the beginning of his administration and he sent Ghana to HPIC?. You had 8 years to boast of economic what? When Npp turned the whole Ghanaian youth into thieves by their end of 8yrs? Ghana is safe today because of NDC. NPP couldn't do a thing about safety. Everyone was required to carry a gun at home by the end of 2008. Leave the president alone to do his job, at the end of his 4years Ghanians can judge him, you wicked people. God will punish you.Your Corrupt and fraudulent cert ificateless flag-bearer can never save Ghana. Tweaaaa!

>which is why they are going in for the easy option, by simply throwing in someone who they don't have to market anymore than they already have done. Marketting cost money and great effort, marketting a new person is more expensive than one already known. Well from a purely economic point of view, NPP are right. But marketting a not so sucessful candidate over and over again is also problematic, what has changed about the person's past failures? The only way is to depend on the poor performance of the incumbent and an extra ordinry change of events not akin to incumbents. Well a good campaign strategy by Obama in the face of extreme economic conditions in the US, saw him defeat Romney, an unlikeable candidate who could not appeal to the broad American public beyond core and hardened Republicans. Romney carried too much baggage for comfort. Anyone thinking the economic situation in the country is enough to propel Akkuffo Addo into power should think again. Thequality and likeabilty of the incumbent across the broad spectrum of voters over weighs one dimensional economic predictions. NPP beware.

What exactly was the message of candidate Mahama that won him the election apart from ede be keke and opposing free education only to turn round and do the opposite?

NPP members are just playing gamble with Nana Addo. They know very well that his campaign strategy is ineffective but they want to keep his 5 million votes AND HIS MONEY.NPP has so soon forgotten that 5 million votes is not good enough to win the presidency. They are not sure of any new candidate that could get more votes than Nana Addo.In other words they are prepared to lose the 2016 if it's only Nana Addo.NPP is afraid to elect a new face because they don't have confidence in themselves.I would like to see change of govt in 2016 because Mahama is not pragmatic. When you have economic problem, you try hard to redress it but not to add extra expenditure anyhow.Mahama took over from Prez MIlls when our rate of GDP was 14% but today we can hardly talk of even 5%,so why should he continue to ditch the country?Anyway,we don't need a strong leader per se but a very intelligent and pragmatic one.Thank you.
