His medical condition was the remote cause but the immediate cause of his death was due to the physical assault he received. The so-called pathologist should have taken that into consideration.

Vital multi-organ insufficiency? What a joke. That cannot and should not be cause of death. That very vague! Finally conditions leading to death generally including accidental and natural causes are usually as a result of multi-organ failure. What the pathologist needs to establish is what lead to the multi-organ failure.

Puting together all the sketchy information on this case, here is medical the assessment of what led to Andoh's death.
The assault he sustained during the beating led injury to his brain and possibly the spleen. The pain induced by this trauma caused over-stimulation of the para-sympathetic nerves. This led to a cascade of lethal events detailed as follows:
(i)His blood circulatory system was compromised as the arterioles lose their stimulus to maintain a constant amount of vasoconstriction. This led to reduction of peripheral vascular resistance to the blood flow in his body.
(ii) This caused the bllod volume in his body to be redistributed to non-vital organs which resulted in a loss of blood pressure and under perfusion of his vital organs of lungs, kidney, heart and liver.
He should have been monitored carefully in the Intensive Care Unit at KATH. In particular proper patient positioning and enteric feeding is required to avoid aspiration of food particles through the lungs.
The brocho-pulmonary assessment score[PO2/FIO2] must be done. The renal (kidney)function must be measured using the serum creatinine concentration. The hepatic(liver) function must be measured using the serum bilirubin concentration. The hematologic system sufficiency must be established using the platelet count. Then the central nervous system and cardiovascular sufficiency must be established using pressure adjusted heart rate. The composite score from these procedures must be made available to the GMA for scrutiny.

I wonder why we are arguing, an independent autopsy should be done to validate the early result. Common sence can tell one that the immediate cause could be the beaten.

This is a high energy high demanding job and so your diagnosis does not fit this guy. Anyone with a multi-organ failure will be hospitalized in the ICU not running and jumping around on soccer field. Come on journalist..it's about time you become professionals and do your home work before wasting your energy in reporting nonsense..May his soul rest in peace

There is something called "Multi Organ Failure," and it could have been caused in this gentleman by the beatings he sustained, especially if the beatings were severe enough to cause massive beakdown of muscle.

I challenge you guys to tell the whole world what "Vital Multi-Organ Insufficiency" is. Did they discover this term just for the poor young man? "Overweight organs"? Where did these medical terminologies come from?
That is a cooked up condition.
The closest one can think of is Multi-Organ Dysfunction Syndrome (MODS) which is associated with sepsis after infection. It is an acute and not a chronic condition! Massive aspiration followed by CVA in a 21-year old who was officiating a ball game only days ago?! Would that even be described as a natural cause of death in the first place? Bogus!
Certainly does not pass the smell test. Sounds like a ridiculously cooked up story put out there for the medically lay but don't forget people in the medical profession read these article too!
