Kevin to return to Schalke for pre-season on Sunday

Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng will return to Schalke for pre-season Sunday.

The 27-year-old has not joined his colleagues since the start of the side’s pre-season.

Manager Jens Keller gave his star special leave to attend his son Maddox Prince’s baptism.

Boateng hogged the lines at this year’s World Cup in Brazil for all the wrong reasons after he was sacked from the Ghana camp for verbal assault on coach Kwesi Appiah.

He is expected to put the issue behind him ahead of Schalke’s campaign in the German top-flight this term.
