Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) is focused on bringing solutions to challenges confronting Small and Medium-Scale Enterprises in Ghana, Mrs Cynthia Lumor, Corporate Services Executive of the Network, has hinted.
She said the Network was making “more investment in data,” to make the sector more competitive and rewarding. Mrs Lumor was addressing journalists at an Editors’ Forum organised by the Network in Ho.
“We know SMEs use data, and we are committed to help them take advantage of opportunities in the digital world,” she said.
Mrs Lumor said the Network was making “systematic investments” in infrastructure and technological advancement, to meet the needs of customers, and urged them to keep faith with the Network.
She said, for instance, over 4,000 kilometres of fibre had been deployed nationwide, to ensure greater speed and reliability.
Mrs Lumor, however, regretted that despite the efforts, small-scale miners, “galamsey operators,” road contractors and developers, were cutting the Network’s fibre, threatening quality service provision.
