Deputy National Propaganda Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC], Solomon Nkansah insists that former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings’s accusations about the Mahama-led government being corrupt is just “rubbish”.

“Her [Nana Konadu] assertions should be treated as worthless material... The party she claims to be leading is corrupt just like herself. She speaks rubbish…people should not listen to her,” he said.

Solomon Nkansah was reacting to Nana Konadu’s claims that the signs of mishandling by the Mahama-led government were obvious and that is why Ghana had gone to the International Monetary Fund [IMF] for a bailout on OKAY FM’s afternoon political show GHANA DECIDES.

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu granted an interview with an Accra-based radio station saying that “No country goes to the IMF when you are doing well; if you are doing well, you won't go to the IMF. It is when you are collapsing that you go to the IMF”.

He noted on OKAY FM that, “It will be appropriate if Nana Konadu advised her husband [Former President John Jerry Rawlings]. The three [3] member political party [NDP] she claims she is leading are mastermind of corruption. All her party executives are crooked”.

Adding that, “Sometimes I wonder why her Communications Director, Ernest Owusu Bempah comes out to defend her [Nana Konadu] in public. That guy [Owusu Bempah] has been employed at Choice FM yet still don’t know what he is about”.
