Black Stars management committee chairman, George Afriyie has rubbished reports that former France captain Marcel Desailly will join Avram Grant’s backroom staff as a scout for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
According to the Liberty Professionals Director, former Ghana FA Boss Lepowura MND Jawula was only making a mere suggestion for the former Milan and Marseille defender to be included in the Black Stars technical team during the unveiling ceremony of Marcel Desailly’s statue at the Lizzy Sports Complex in East Legon last Friday.
“I don’t know where this story is coming from. This was just a suggestion from Lepowura MND Jawula at the unveiling of Marcel Desailly’s statue. Why can’t people report accurately,” Mr. Afriyie told sports reporters on Monday afternoon.
