Local Black Stars defeat Namibia 1-0 in friendly

The Local Black Stars recorded a 1-0 win over Namibia’s home-based players in a friendly match at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Wednesday afternoon.

Berekum Chelsea’s Stephen Baffour slotted in a volley to secure the match-winner for Ghana in time-added-on.

Coach Dauda Lutterodt fielded the likes of Bechem United’s Noah Martey, who is the Ghana Premier League’s player of the month, Aduana Stars’ Emmanuel Akuoko and New Edubiase’s Alhassan Nuhu.

The Local Black Stars used the test match to prepare for the 2016 CHAN qualifiers that will be starting on the weekend of June 19-21.
