THE NDC SHOULD GO IF THEY CANNOT MANAGE THE AFFAIRS OF THE COUNTRY. THE NPP INTRODUCED THE SSSS BUT GHANAIANS DID NOT GIVE THEM THE MANDATE TO RULE. GHANAIANS SHOULD BRING THEM BACK TO IMPLEMENT IT WELL !

Ir is true the SSSS cannot be sustained in its current format - Ghanaians must understand that as it stands the SSSS takes up to 80% of the government's revenue - this leaves 20% to build roads, schools, hospitals, boreholes etc etc and becuase of this overspending we have to go outside to borrow - so in order for govt to reduce going outsiode to get loans etc we have to cut down the wage bill or limit the increments that go with this because if we dfo not review the SSSS it will cripple thge country as we do not have the resources to pay for it - for example if you are a trotro driver and you are paying up to 80% of your earnings buying spare aprts for the car etc you are not lef twith much to pay yourslef so oyu have to find ways of reducing the way you buy spare parts so the govt has to find a way to review vthe SSSS so that it casn stay afloat have have enough money for social developm, ental projects

Lawyer, you got it all wrong. What is really killing Ghana today is nothing but corruption. Just see how people are stealing the state assets, left and right.

It is unsustainable, but its still a mystery why. The public wage bill has more than doubled... why. As an SSSS wage earner, has your income doubled? Has your department doubled in staff? So then why is SSSS taking so much money. Then answer is corruption. These crooks and cheats in power set things up so that they would pay themselves - management level - far more money than the ave Ghanaian earns, and they got away with this by also paying parliament double what they used to make too. SSSS should be removed for all those earning in the top 30% of employees per department. All those people should go back to the old salary structure. You'll see the wage bill drop drastically, with no significant impact for the poorer half of the population whom this scheme was supposed to make things fairer for
