Ashgold's Fatau Dauda
Free agent Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda is backing Ashantigold to excel in next year’s CAF Champions League.
The miners return to Africa’s elite competition for the first time in over two decades following their league triumph this term.
The Obuasi-based club are desperate to replicate the fine display of Berekum Chelsea which reached the group phase of the competition in 2012.
And Black Stars shot-stopper Fatau Dauda expects the club to shine in the competition.
“Africa is like playing for your nation. If you go and do well, you do well for the nation and then the other slots will come back so Ghanaians should pray for us so we can do well,” he told Accra-based Starr FM
TP Mazembe has done it. It’s the same players but different attitude.
Dauda is yet to commit his future to the club following the expiration of his contract in July this year.
