The Managing Director of Green Grass Technology (GGT), Frank Boahen, has revealed that government’s three years debt to his outfit has seen him lose all his properties to his major debtors.

This has made him fail to maintain the Accra Stadium pitch for some time, leaving it in a bushy state leading to a recent strike action by his staff over unpaid salaries.

GGT is unable to pay its staff because government has failed to pay the firm any pitch maintenance fees since 2012.

“The state of the pitch is unfortunate. The workers have decided to embark on a strike for some few weeks now. I have been pleading with them but we as a company don’t have anything to pay the workers,” Boahen told Starr Sports.

The Black Stars players and coach Avram Grant complained bitterly about the state of the pitch following the team’s first training session at the 40,000-seater edifice on Monday.
