As for sitting arrangement, did you find out why the arrangement was like that? It has it reasons. Not marginalising women but it has to do with privacy reasons. I don't want to go into details. In other churches of Pentecost you find men and women sitting together but you will surely find one side predominantly male and the other female and it is human behaviour. You sit where you feel comfortable. For the dancing it is not a routine that men go first before women but which ever gender that takes the floor first is allow to finish and thereafter the other gender goes. So in your case the men took the floor first and the women have to allow them to finish. Order in the church is important in the bible.

The Church is not a political or social gathering which have produced lawlessness and disrespect for authority in the name of freedom and human rights. The Church of the Most High God is a place of Divine Order . The Church was not manufactured in a lawless country like ours, it originated from Israel hence the belief and faith in the Bible which is the infallible Word of God. Go do your research on how successive govts have conspired with foreign powers to suppress and oppress the citizenry. Go do research on the looting of our resources by a few to build empires for themselves and their cronies.

D leaders of d church I cudnt even mke our bcos there were no separate seats elsewhere for them. They were among err1 else..a lady sat by me d whole tym n it was until dey asked dem to cam pray over d bread n wine was when I realized she was a deaconess. During praises, d guys n ladies danced weneva dey wnted...no tkin turns....sam ladies were in scarf, sam were not...dyting communion, we all went together, row by row, I even went before itvwas my row's turn. And it'sd same church of Pentecost. At PIWC(Pentecost internationalworship centre), another branch of d same church, ladies even wear trousers to church. Dey sit mixed up..its as similar as d charismaticchurches, its even bigger dan ur church, but its still Pentecost.

Visit a young Sunday School student and he will teach you what you know not. Better still go and see the Women's Director at CoP Headquarters for information then finally just visit one out of the numerous PIWCs and I'm sure you will regret writing this article. Will you questions Jesus' selection of the twelve since there was no female ; Maybe a little education on the history will give you a better understanding; The church of pentecost is
founded and controlled from Ghana and has reached ninety countries in the world. In some countries we don't have the opportunity to worship on Sundays but Fridays and other so called working days;is that a crime, let us look at what God directs and,let stop being dogmatic. The church started meetings from what we probably Could refer to us "church under trees" and other open places and married men who were not part of the church did not take the news of their wives sitting together with other men kindly.Reports has it that some men could organise a mob action against the church and disrupt service. This lead to this sitting arrangements seen as a suppression of women. I doubt you had this understanding. Notice that after the twelve,there was a choosing of seventy two and many more females became instrumental in the ministry of Jesus Christ. It will gladen you to know that the Church of Pentecost allows this "sitting together "once the assembly itself deems fit and this can be verified from the English Assemblies and the P.I.W.C all over the world. The Church also allows women in some cases lead and conduct services. I don't know if all that amounts to women suppression. I am sure that the fact that women have not become president in Ghana or become Asantehene means Ghanians are suppressing women.
Please I hope you take the opportunity to tell this side of the story,.

To me, he (the author) had all the thoughts spoken on casted in stone that: 'women are suppressed in the Church of Pentecost (CoP)' before entering the assembly he mentioned, thus if he did so. As a result he never saw the need of finding out the role of women in the decision making process in the Church of Pentecost, let alone the type of polity pacticed compared to other churches to spice up his comparism.
He could have asked the opinion of some women at the CP-Down Salem Assembly, since he went in but sadly with prejudice only saw what he wanted. CoP may have suppressed women before but not today or even if it still does not by mere seating arrangments or dancing.
In my view, considering my local, district and area, based on the vibrant roles I see women play each day in church grow and day-to-day leadership, I must say without miming words that: if my colleague journalist feels seating on the platform is what makes women equal to men, he should rather advocate for a woman marrying him that's if he is single (I mean paying a groom price) else his male friends or brother should opt for same.
That way, he is really champaigning for 'women equality with men' else should stop his myopic reportage on just seating positions and ways of dancing. Or better still, tell of the immense benefit of the opposite in his prebyterian church to the salvation of members. That way he could be enriching the debate but till then, he should look beyond the lense of 'women's right advocacy and church defamation' and rather focus on salvation which I will agree that, the tradition of Church of Pentecost is not.
However I feel a Christian journalist like myself, should be more enthused with the propagation of salvation than bitter and myopic reportage on a church's tradition which may not be denying one his/her salvation.
