Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak will clash with city rivals Great Olympics in the 2016 Independence Cup match, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The two sides will square off at the Accra sports stadium on March 6, 2016 to commemorate the country’s 59th Independence anniversary.

The contest is expected to attract large crowd to the venue as it pits two of the biggest rivals on the domestic scene.

Hearts new coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi will be aiming for his first silverware against the relegated side in the country’s capital.

Hearts and Olympics are highly regarded as ‘enemies’ and the meeting is expected to be an explosive one.

The 2015 Independence Cup match is being put together by My Sports Organisation in conjunction with Despite Group of Companies.
