Salary workers can never be rich - Torkornu

Menson Torkornu, a former Managing Director of Amal Bank now Bank of Africa, has stoked controversy by claiming that workers who earn a monthly salary can never be rich.

“Everybody wants to be rich in this country but one of the things I want to tell people is that you can never be rich if you are a salary worker, you can only be comfortable.”

Mr. Torkornu urged the youth to explore the various job opportunities in Ghana and stop depending on government or waiting to be employed by a company.

Speaking on the ‘Start Your Year Right’ segment on Morning Starr Monday, Mr. Torkornu called on government to create the opportunities for more Ghanaian youth to venture into agriculture and not depend solely on white collar jobs.
