Well, it's good you happen to detect Nana Akufo-Addo's arrogance and NPP's complacency. It was arrogant, presumptuous and patronising of Nana Akufo-Addo to admonish Mr Ivor Greenstreet, the newly elected Presidential candidate for the CPP. Even if Nana Akufo-Addo's decision to admonish was well-meaning and to win over Ivor, politically, I'm sure he didn't expect Ivor and the CPP to weep with gratitude. This sort of condescending remark and attitude that he knows best will be his undoing. This simply reinforce the perception that Nana Akufo-Addo has an inbred arrogance. There is nothing more unattractive than a politician who thinks he is born to rule.
'Third time lucky' for Nana Akufo-Addo? Of course, it is possible he could achieve a victory that would stun President John Mahama and the NDC. However, at this point, the odds appear to be stacking up against Nana Akufo-Addo winning the 2016 presidential election.
Personally, I identify NPP's complacency, the internal bloodletting, lack of effective campaign message and election-winning strategies, poor party organisation and NDC's tribal/ethnic politics as factors expected to cause NPP's defeat in 2016.
