WAFA SC attacking midfielder Martin Antwi is confident of getting the better side of rampant Sekondi Hasaacas when the western giants visit Sogakope on Sunday.

The enterprising midfielder admitted to the scary nature of their match day three opponents but remained confident of keeping the maximum points at the dreaded Sogakope.

The 22-year-old versatile midfielder introduced himself to the Ghanaian football fraternity in grand style across the 2014/15 with WAFA SC on their return to the premiership.

The former Great Fighters midfielder openly accepted the unpredictable nature of football but ruled out any such results on Sunday when Eric Bekoe and his scary attacking trio storm the Sogakope field.

“Anything can happen in football but I think our preparation and hunger for the points will see us through.

The entire team look prepared and you can sense the hunger within the playing staff come Sunday.

We are well prepared for Sunday when they come visiting us at home.” Martin Antwi told sports crusader.

The 22-year-old much sought after midfielder then readied himself for more responsibilities in the absence of the departed Mumuni Zakaria.

“We have a lot of quality players in the team for now.

I am not replacing Mumuni but will do my best for WAFA SC across the season.

Our collective desire is to better our position last season.

We are targeting a higher finish beyond what we achieved last season as a club.

“We want to build on our strong home form and get a better finish at the end of the season.” Martin Antwi concluded.

Martin Antwi played a starring role for John Killa’s Academy boys in their opening day massacre of record league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Sogakope.
