Irate fans of Kumasi Asante Kotoko are demanding for the immediate dismissal of head coach David Duncan.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko has gone three Ghana Premier League games without a victory and fans are getting frustrated at the poor start to their title challenge.
On Wednesday afternoon, after the Porcupine Warriors zero-all stalemate against regional rivals Ashanti Gold, supporters of the club went frenzy, and angry fan blurted out that “you allow even a Toyota engineer to start better than us?”.
“He should be sacked.” The fans demanded.
Another fan, whose name was only given as Alhaji said “yaanom has 7 points from 3 matches, but we have only 2 from 3 matches and you think Duncan is a good coach?
“Duncan can’t assemble the team to play as a unit. I have watched Kotoko play even before these boys were born and if I see a team well set-up, I can tell you the result…Mohammed Polo, Razak (Golden Boy) and all et al, I have watch them play here. So I know what I am talking about.”
He added: ‘This team is tearing my heart apart. My friend died last year after we drew 1-1 last season and left his children behind out of heart break. Duncan should go a new coach to come.”
Others were against his post match comments that the team misses the services of Jackson Owusu.
“I don’t agree with that assertion. He gave his consent before the players were signed. He bought them and should stop giving excuses.” They said.
The above quotes were unleashed by irate against the continuous stay of Duncan.
Kotoko faces a daunting hurdle on Sunday when they travel to Berekum to face Chelsea.
Another defeat could prove disastrous for team confidence and erode further their ambition of reclaiming the Ghana Premier League crown they lost season.
