Enterprising Asante Kotoko centre-back Ahmed Adam has called on the fans of the club to calm down and look forward to a prosperous season despite difficult start.
The Porcupine Warriors have picked two points from a possible nine making their fans charge on the team for better results.
The Reds lost their opening league game to WAFA at Sogakope and have drawn two games consecutively making their fans unhappy with their output.
But the former Berekum Chelsea defender says the difficult start is a sign of good things to come.
“As a Muslim I believe in the fact that difficult beginnings yielding positive results. The Quran says that everything that has a difficult beginning has a good end,” Ahmed said.
“Our performance against AshGold was better than our previous two performances and I see the team picking up gradually.
I understand the fans but they must exercise a bit of patience because we are more worried. We want to make them happy and we will do that soon,” he added.
Asante Kotoko will be coming up against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Sunday in what appears another difficult game for the Porcupine Warriors.
