It is about time that developed countries stopped sending foreign aid to developing countries. There's no reason why a country like Ghana, with its abundance of natural resources cannot fund its own developmental projects. Hard-working and tax-paying Americans are electricity to lazy and unproductive Ghanaians, who see nothing wrong with encouraging their leaders to go begging for funds from the developed countries. For example, a small country like Norway, with a population of about 4 million, has funded and given aid to Ghana, with its population of 28 million. The Ghanaian culture and traditions breed freeloaders who are aversed to paying for services they enjoy. Hard work is the foundation that these developed countries were built upon. As long Ghanaians lack the work ethic and ethos necessary to build a sustainable country, they will continue to rely on the developed countries for largess.
