A country’s economic development is largely determined by its infrastructural advancement. Developing countries world-wide make infrastructure a priority in their quest to attain the status of fully developed countries.

With this being the case, it is essential for developing countries to grow their building and construction industry in order to adequately match up with international standards.

Ghana in recent years is picking up speed in terms of its infrastructural development. The nation has seen the completion of many roads and construction of state of the art buildings around the country.

There is still a long way to go for the nation. Ghana is not among the top ten most developed nations in Africa in terms of infrastructure according to the Africa Development Bank in its Africa Infrastructure Development Index.

The Building and Construction industry is one sector that plays a pivotal role in propelling nations into infrastructural excellence and hence rapid annual economic growth. The way forward for Ghana is to focus more on this sector.

Sefy’s Choice Gh. in conjunction with (Broll Gh.) and Achimota mall has come up with a laudable initiative that would be of benefit to the building and construction industry in diverse ways. The Achimota Mall Building and Construction Fair 2016 is an event that seeks to create a converging point for individuals and companies in the building and construction industry.

The fair is a four day event which will commence on the 1st of September and will attain its climax on the 4th of September at the newly constructed Achimota Retail Centre. Present at the fair will be big time construction companies, electronic companies, providers of roofing materials, floor tiles, furniture, interior decorators and surveyors. The event will feature many market giants in the building and construction industry who will showcase and market business.

Networking, marketing and publicity are just a few benefits that participants of this fair are bound to enjoy. An event of this sort is a likely turning point for the building and construction companies and the industry at large.
