Maca has been highly revered for over 2,000 years in Peru. According to legend, the Incan warriors ate Maca for strength
and endurance before going to battle. The Spanish Conquistadors called it the “sex herb of the Incas.” Today it is known as
“Peruvian Ginseng”. Modern studies suggest that Maca may promote libido, sexual potency and energy.

Kwame Boateng's documentary almost moved me to tears. How can a country that styles itself as a democracy strip away the rights of its citizens and treat them as animals in prison? People in our prisons remain Ghanaian citizens, though with limited rights and privileges because of their crimes, there is no question they remain Ghanaian citizens.
The key guiding principles in any civilize democracy is; law, order and good government. These guiding principles don't come cheap - we must pay for them. And we pay for them collectively with our taxes. If the country strips off the rights of individuals and incarcerate them, each and everyone in society has a responsibility to ensure the well-being of these prisoners, and we do so by paying our taxes. Why are not building more prisons if there is a need for them, because seeing prisoners packed like sardines and being fed like pigs in a pigs' pen is a complete affront to the Ghanaian sensibilities, if there is such thing as Ghanaian sensibility.
We are in a country where those who make the highest income don't pay taxes. Our Presidents who must set good examples as first citizens, are exempt from paying taxes. Our duplicitous Parliament, bereft of any dignity and common sense continue to give tax holidays to foreign companies at the peril of our own development. Then there is the cancerous corruption at every facet of government chipping away whatever resources available for the country's development.
We should all applaud Ms. Georgina Wood, the CJ, for her effort in improving the security of our nations prisons. Nevertheless, her actions in this specific area is ultra vires in respect of her mandate. The buck stops at the feet of perfidious JD Mahama and Ghana Parliament. If JD Mahama and his NDC crooks stop giving tax holidays to foreign companies, I am sure they will find the money to improve the conditions in our prisons.
