Hetura Books Company Limited, one of Ghana’s fastest growing publishing brands on Monday, September 5, 2016 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BlueCrest College, a private university college in Accra, Ghana. The MoU was signed to organise Campus Book Fair, an on-campus book sales initiative by Hetura Books.

Signing the MoU on behalf of Hetura Books was Kennedy Kwaku Nyadzie, the head of marketing of the publishing company and Vivek Verma, the rector of BlueCrest College.

After the signing of the MoU, both parties were glad to partner to organise the book fair as a way to encourage a culture of reading especially among the youth. Campus Book Fair was an initiative first launched in 2015 by Hetura Books and has travelled to the Miotso Campus of Central University College (now Central University), and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

After the signing event, Kennedy Kwaku Nyadzie, the head of marketing of Hetura Books said, “We are glad to have had this partnership with BlueCrest College. It comes to us as an encouragement that our initiative to promote reading among young people in the country has been widely accepted. This further throws a greater challenge to us as a company to be innovative to come up with more of such initiatives to prepare the young people of Africa for the future. We can only lead when we read.”

The event, which is slated to come off from the 5th to 7th October, 2016, will display a wide array of books of local and foreign fiction and non-fiction authors, and academic materials that are tailored to the various programmes being offered by BlueCrest College. The event comes off at the Accra Campus of BlueCrest College located at Cola Street, Near ATTC, Adjacent Societe Generale Head Office, Kokomlemle.
