A friend of mine wrote, and I quote, “Why does this man look like he’s swallowed a coconut without knowing the size of his anus?”
When you put something in print, we do not write "... and I quote..." because the reader can see it when you put the quoted parts in citation marks and know that you are, indeed, quoting. "And I quote" is used in delivered speeches where the audience cannot see the citation marks and must be prompted to know when the quotation starts (and ends).

I feel really sad when I read or listen to some of these young and inexperienced people insulting and telling lies about the elderly and accomplished people like Nana Akufo Addo and Prof. Attah Mills. Some of these people who have lied and insulted their ways to positions in the Mahama administration would be very happy to call these elderly members of the society their uncles or grand fathers. Wasn't this Fiifi Kwettey who said that Kufour and the NPP had sold Ghana's gold but couldn't show any evidence when pressed to do so? Depending on where you train, there are certain professions in which you do not have a degree in but can practice as one provided you pass the professional exams. Law and Engineering are two of such professions. In the US you do not have to have a degree in Engineering to practice as a professional engineer provided you pass the professional exam. Sometimes we make certain pronouncements because of our ignorance. We have to concentrate on the issues and our common enemies like poverty, energy, education etc. that confront all of us and how and who can help us overcome them. Thank you.
