Local-based players are beyond Grant's observation - Coach Sarpong

Former Ebusua Dwarfs coach J.E Sarpong believes local-based players are beyond coach Avram Grant observation.

Coach Sarpong noted that the inability of Black Stars coach Grant to give call-ups to local players on his squad for the crucial Egypt match shows he is not monitoring footballers in the country.

Coach Grant named his 23-man squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Egypt without naming a locally-based player.

The decision by Grant to leave out the likes of local stars Latif Blessing, Akwesi Donsu, Dauda Mohammed and Abednego Tetteh among others has led to public condemnation.

In an interview with Asempa FM, coach Sarpong said: “Our local players are beyond Grant’s observation”.
