President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has named Former Minister of Interior Albert Kan-Dapaah as Minister of National Security.
The former Member of Parliament for Afigya-Sekyere West Constituency will assume the role after confirmation by Parliament.
Nana Akufo-Addo disclosed this on Wednesday, January 4 at his residence in Accra.
In a brief event, the president-elect, who will be inaugurated officially as the 5th President of Fourth Republic on Saturday, named “distinguished soldier” Brigadier General Emmanuel Okyere as the National Security Advisor.
He also named a former Director of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), Joshua Kyeremeh, as the National Security Coordinator.
