Accra Jan. 20, GNA - An Accra Circuit Court on Tuesday sentenced a 25-year-old trader, Dennis Sheriff Danso to 12 years' imprisonment with hard labour for having anal sex with a 12-year-old boy. Danso charged with unnatural carnal knowledge, pleaded guilty. The court presided over by Mr Kwadwo Owusu, therefore, convicted him on his own plea.
The facts as presented by Inspector Emmanuel T. Boison were that the victim stayed with his mother at Bawsleshie in Accra.
The Prosecution said on January 12 the victim fell ill and his condition deteriorated. The victim's mother became alarmed over the situation and questioned him.
The victim mentioned the convict as the one who had anal sex with him on four occasions in December 2003.
Prosecution said the conduct of Danso was reported to the Police, who issued a medical form to the complainant.
Danso admitted the offence when he was arrested.
