We must say it takes a powerful woman with control of their own lives to bare it all in this manner.
Good read, with many lessons for all!
READ: The ex, "...That guy was the contemporary definition of USELESS...".
WE SAY: That is a funny one!
ITEM: From a public policy and business perspective, we see a couple of points that lead us to the same old "finding" that too many Ghanaian businesses and government officials just do not have the right employees on the job. Just the other say, there was an article by the owner of a Cafe that touched upon the difficulty of finding "professional" workers in Ghana.
Demonstrably, this is a a result of lack of training and breakdown of ethics, at work.
(1) In professional environments and customer service "bureaus", strong smells on the person that invade the personal spaces of others is not appropriate. (The principle ought to be self evident).
(2) A Customer Service Bureau, particularly where people go to file complaints ought to be the last place employees seek amorous relationships with people who merely happen to be at the site because they've been "wronged" by the company whose office is the site of the encounter, or, that have responsibility to collect and investigate "wrongs"/complaints against customers and citizens. (The principle here is persons filing a complaint are assumed to be "injured", and may vulnerable on many fronts).
Great lessons!

Ok, as far as I am concerned, this may just be a fictional account meant to teach a lesson. The writer may, or may not, be dating a married man. That doesn't really matter. But the lessons are clear:
1. Dating married men, a very ancient practice, is still a very common practice.
2. Despite all the progress in our Ghanaian society, this thing about men picking up the bill is still very much around. It's a shame. Many "progressive" girls will not accept such free bonto from men (whether married or not), mainly so that the man may not demand a quid pro quo. The writer indicated she was paying for her previous date but that's just part of the narrative to try to "balance" something.
3. She talked of putting on a little weight from banku and tilapia (a favourite dish in Ghana these days even though some of us don't see what's so great about roasted tilapia that has been frozen and warmed up on demand) and I think directly about the fact that MOST Ghanaian women are overweight! The writer may yet get married but when she does and gets the first child, she too is going to be overweight!!!
Finally, why does our authoress think "naked" should be written in a disguised manner but not "panties"? Don't they both equally lead to that which must really not be written out in full: c**t?
Anyway, thanks for giving us a topic that is different from the usual political fare. Too bad you still couldn't be completely without it. In the manner of the things you're concerned about, who really cares about Mahama or an old, decrepit, gaunt man called Akufo-Addo? Or is it just to tell us he may not be hot for single young girls even if he can buy them all the most costly perfume in the world?
