I got tired of telling my pro-Nkrumahist colleagues that only a radical agenda can bring a united Nkrumahist party to power.
On the local front, I had spelt out the land reforms as you mentioned, dissolution of the regional houses of chiefs to be replaced with local ones, allowing chiefs to take part in politics if they so wish, since many are already doing so, amidst other suggested reforms in an article published on Ghanaweb too, heavy devolution of powers to the district assemblies so that all funds for local devt go to them, election of all MCEs and DCEs, etc., etc.
Then, a state-centred industrialisation with the people's participation as shareholders and board members. This would be centered around building urban centres in every district. It won't be only a one-district one factory affair. I sketched this out in one article, Opening the Rural Areas of Ghana, available on modernghana.com.
Yes, Ghana needs a radical party to transform it and, above all, the people of Ghana.
