The Elections Dispute Adjudication Committee (EDAC) of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has concluded its hearing of the petitions regarding the candidates disqualified from contesting the Association’s 2017 Elections.

A statement signed by Mr. Yaw Boadu- Ayeboafoh, the Chairman of the Committee, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, on Friday, said it had submitted a copy of the report to the GJA Executives.

It, therefore, urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to lift the indefinite postponement of the elections for the process to take its course.

It thanked the Election Committee, the GJA Executives, the Petitioners and all stakeholders for their support and co-operation throughout the process of the hearing.

The statement expressed the hope that all stakeholders of the GJA would accept the decision in good faith for the overall wellbeing of the Association.

Other members of the Committee are Mr. Michael Boadu and Mr. Zakaria Tanko Musah.
