Young Entrepreneurs Summit and Awards will be held on Tuesday, May 30th
Organizers of the much awaited Young Entrepreneurs Summit and Awards has announced that the grand launching of the events will be held on Tuesday, May 30th, at the plush Erata Hotel, in Accra.
The Summit and Awards is hosted by the Youth Business Network (YBN) in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), National Youth Authority, YES Fund, NBSSI, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, to Recognize, Celebrate and Honor Entrepreneurs from the ages of 15 and 40, for their courage, inspiration and determination as jobs creators.
Speaking about the launching, the President of YBN; Mr. Solomon Adjei hinted that the program to be Chaired by the CEO for MullenLowe Accra; Mrs. Norkor Duah, will witness the presence of the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations; Hon. Ignatius Baffuor Awuah as the Special Guest of Honor, and Mr. Yoofi Grant, CEO for GIPC as the Keynote Speaker.
Other dignitaries expected at the launching include the Executive Director for YES Fund; Lawyer John Kumah, the National Coordinator for the National Youth Authority; Mr. Emmanuel Asigiri, the Executive Directors for NBSSI and MASLOC, among others.
Mr. Adjei stated that it is time Ghana recognizes and celebrates the hard working young men and women who defy all odds to establish on their own, and this he said the Award scheme is aimed at.
“…By the grace of God, we held the Summit last year, but couldn’t do same with the Awards due to lack of funds, among other factors. It is however all set to go this year, and we will be celebrating all young Entrepreneurs in Ghana in a grand style, he said.”
The media launching on Tuesday is going to start at 6pm, and attendance is strictly by invitation.
