Togolese international Emmanuel Adebayor has reserved some praise for former captain of the Black Stars Stephen Appiah, for deciding to share his experience as the team manager of the Black Stars of Ghana.

Stephen Appiah was appointed as the team manager of the Black Stars on the re-appointment of Kwesi Appiah, after hanging his boots back in 2015 following an illustrious football career.

“It’s now time to bring old players back, not to be the Federation president or minister but to be inside, because they know how to treat players in the sense that they were once a player,” Adebayor said.

It serves right and it's no surprise that old players around the world and particularly in Africa and Ghana had contributed in diverse ways after hanging their boots.

The likes of Maxwell Konadu, head coach Kwesi Appiah, Mohammed Polo and CK Akonnor are all back into football to contribute their quota to the development of the game.

“I’m very much happy with Ghana now because they’ve brought back Stephen Appiah into the national team. He’s the team manager.

“He knows how to organise the game. He had the chance to play for Juventus for so many years. He again knows what the players need to play an important game,” he added.
