Ashanti puts up 1.1 million shares on the market

Ashanti Goldfields Company (AGC) has announced that it has issued new shares of no par value to shareholders. According to a statement made available to the Ghana News Agency on Saturday, the company is putting up 1,182,616 Ashanti ordinary shares of no par value which will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares, as a result of an exercise of warrants by warrant holders. Meanwhile, Ashanti and Anglogold are expected to make a statement on their new image next week.
