The contract that awarded the Operational Business Suite (OBS) project to automate all operations in pensions administration at the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) was varied several times, 3news.com has gathered.
Though the original contract sum was $34million, the unplanned variations led to additional costs.
The contract document intercepted by 3news.com reveals the contract duration was supposed to be 18 months.
It was signed on November 15, 2012. Per the intercepted document, the contract was, for instance, varied on January 27, 2014 for Avaya headsets to be provided contact centre staff of SSNIT “to facilitate their work”.
