A vocal National Democratic Congress (NDC) lawmaker Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has donated items to the Battor Senior High School and the Mepe St. Kizito SHS to ease problems associated with the Free SHS programme.
The MP for North Tongu donated 200 pieces of furniture, marker boards and boxes of markers to the two schools to enable first-year students enjoying the Free SHS policy to have sound education.
Some schools have been bedevilled with the challenge of lack of desk and teaching materials as a result of an exponential increase in enrolment following the free policy introduced by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) under President Akufo-Addo.
The policy takes care of tuition and feeding fees among others.
