The Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Service Scheme, Nana Boakye popularly known as Nana B has urged executives of The Tertiary Students Confederacy Network of the New Patriotic Party (TESCON) to ensure that party members are employed before others.

According to him, TESCON members have struggled for the party and contributed to its election victory, hence the need to ensure that they are first employed before other Ghanaians are offered jobs.

“Make sure you satisfy committed members, so when your boss says to you there are job opportunities, some National Service Issues [so] bring some names, please don’t go and bring people from somewhere, make sure these committed TESCON members who are here, who have sacrificed their books to be here, make sure you satisfy them first, it is very very important,” Nana B said on Friday when addressing the TESCON branch at Koforidua Technical University during a handing over ceremony.

He added “On National Service issues, you did well, there is no way we will just facilitate it fast for you, didn’t we do it for you this year?.

Nana B urged the youth in the party to be patient for the President and support his government for the success and long stay of the NPP in government will inure to the benefit of youth than the older folks in the party.

Nana B is likely to incur the wrath of Ghanaians after Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, George Ayisi Boateng recently pledged to prioritize the welfare of New Patriotic Party (NPP) members before considering other Ghanaians.

His comment was met with outrage and calls for his dismissal from some sections of the public.

Mr. Ayisi Boateng also made remarks at a ceremony to welcome fresh members of TESCON at the Kumasi Technical University.
