The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has cautioned the general public against activities of unscrupulous persons who intend to take advantage of the current recruitment process to dupe unsuspecting applicants.

The GIS has invited shortlisted applicants to undertake body screening and documentation today, Thursday, 4 January 2018.

A statement signed by Head of Public Affairs at the GIS, Superintendent Michael Amoako-Attah warned the applicants against engaging middlemen who promise enlistment for various sums of money.

Speaking to Class News, he said current recruitment module is foolproof against any infiltration.

He said: “After the online completion of the process, shortlisted applicants have been notified through SMS for the second phase which entails screening and verification of documentation which will be taking place from the 4th to 5th January.

“Then after that, shortlisted applicants will be given index numbers to come and write aptitude test. For each applicant that qualified, we issued them with a unique ID number and is this same ID number that they have to present when they get to the screening centers across the various regions of Ghana.

So there is no way anybody wherever can hack into the system and put in other unique numbers and give out to the public. So we know this is foolproof and I can guarantee that.”
