Minister storms Tamale banks with government policies

Staff of about 19 banks within the Tamale Metropolis were left in shock when the Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Sa-eed paid surprise visits to their offices on Thursday, January 4, 2018.

The aim of the visit was to acquaint himself with their operations, welcome them into the year 2018 share with them some government policies, programmes and initiatives that they can take advantage of.

The minister emphasized the need to strengthen the working relationship between the Northern Regional Coordinating Council (NRCC) and the banks and to share some government policies in the financial sector that can help businesses to grow.

He re-iterated the need for deeper collaboration and partnerships with them to make government policies and programmes successful.

While admonishing banks to be alert since the 2018 financial year would be the best year ever as evidence by the 2018 budget, he appealed to them to provide the best of services for their clients who are residents of the region in order to realize the dream for which their branches were established.

The Bank managers on their part applauded the minister for this good initiative and indicated that this move has been the first of its kind in the banking industry in the region.

They pledged to support government to succeed with its flagship programmes that are in line with their short, medium and long term plans
