Wed, 14 Apr 1999 Source: null

n an interview with GRi's Associate Managing Editor, Efam Awo Dovi, NPP's Kwamena Bartels said of the Ablekuma by- elections:

?When they (NDC) bring Machomen, we will bring Machomen. When they pull knives we will pull knives and when it comes to fighting we will fight. The only thing is that we will not start the fight. The situation where we literally sit down for the National Democratic Congress to cheat is over. We will not allow them to intimidate NPP supporters anymore.?

While The NDC?s ?Margaret Thatcher,? Madam Faustina Nelson, says to the NDC the Ablekuma Central bye-election was not a big deal. She asserts further that although the seat was equally important to the NDC, their people knew it would not change their position as the ruling party and so are not bothered much by the result.

Full details of Bartels vrs Nelson in the forthcoming May edition of GRi magazine.
